1.1 We collect personal information to help us manage the relationship with our clients, which which may include information of a personal nature:

  • Directly, during our visits to retailers and the trade

  • Directly, from application forms

  • Directly and indirectly, from correspondence and online interaction

  • Indirectly, from our principals

1.2 Information of a personal nature would include (but is not limited to) names, addresses and contact details.

1.3 We undertake never to sell any personal information to third parties

1.4 We may share information collected from retail partners with one or all of our principals who may use it to:

  • Administer the customer's credit account

  • Initiate and administer marketing campaigns

  • Aggregate into reports

  • Improve the quality or consistency of services / products provided

1.5 Information shared us with principals will rarely be of a personal nature, other than:

  • The name of a proprietor, manager or other staff for the purpose of addressing correspondence and carrying our day to day duties.

  • Opinions given to us by retail partner staff on the products and services provided by us or our principals.

Quality

2.1 We will make every effort to ensure that all information collected is accurate, complete and up to date.

2.2 We will take reasonable steps to update information as soon as practicable after being notified that information held is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Security

3.1 We will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information held from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

3.2 Information no longer required by us will be effectively destroyed in accordance with the National Privacy Principals.

Access and Correction

4.1 We will provide free of charge, personal information held on a particular individual to that individual, upon receiving a written request, except where:

  • Providing access would reveal our intentions in relation to negotiations with the individual in such a way as to prejudice those negotiations

  • Where providing access would reveal evaluative information generated within our organisation in connection with a commercially sensitive decision-making process

  • The request for access is frivolous or vexatious in accordance with National Privacy Principles.

4.2 If we cannot reveal specific personal information held upon receiving a request described in 4.1, we will notify of the reasons in writing.
